ListMate Pro/ListMate Summary of Features :
ListMate Pro vs. the competition :
Using our Pentium notebook 233 mhz/32 megs RAM/Win 98, we compared ListMate Pro against 2 other list
management packages - Elemental Optimizer/Email Miner 98 and ExtractorPro v7.0.80 - in a series of
fundamental list management chores. Here are the results:
ListMate (formerly BulkMate) vs. the competition : Using our 'puny' Pentium 100/32 megs RAM, we compared BulkMate against 2 other popular list management packages - MegaPro vb32 and ExtractorPro v6.1. Here are the results:
- Task (6) - Separate 250,000 list by domain: MegaPro just separated them, BulkMate separated them AND also sorted them within their domain. - Task (7) - Randomize 250,000 list: MegaPro does not do a real randomize here - it simply sorts your file starting at the 5th character of each address onward. If you study MegaPro's result file, you'll find large chunks of addresses throughout that are pretty well in alphabetical order. - Task (8) - Separate 250,000 addresses by domain AND Randomize: BulkMate is the only package out there that will do this. It'll separate your address file by its various domains (ie. AOL, Compuserve, Delphi, etc.). Then it will randomize the addresses WITHIN each domain. The reason for the relatively high test time (12 min 40 sec) shown here is that in this test, BulkMate also randomized within EACH domain in the MISCELLANEOUS address category...literallly thousands of miscellaneous domains that BulkMate randomized individually. This feature (to randomize all the various miscellaneous domains) can be checked on/off by the user since it it is so time-intensive. With this feature not checked, time taken would have been 59 secs.
